History

Our History - beginning at the DNC 2016, with the help of Arch St Methodist Church.

Joining hands.  We are Stronger Together .

At  the Democratic National Convention we gave five morning courses in Peacekeeping.   We  found groups and individual travelers  that became like family., from all over the USA, and several from Canada !   Our first goal was  to assure that as "Bernie Peacekeepers"  the rallies and marches reflected positive values of non violence and cooperation.  We were initially concerned about interlopers.  There were only a few.  The Heat was intense. Peacekeepers helped many with overheating.  The Activist Oasis at the  Arch St Methodist Church was our haven. INTERFAITH PRAYER CIRCLE FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE      *    LIGHT KEEPERS  *   P.O.W.E.R  a coalition of social justice communities of faith here in Philly  *    ROSES  for the Revolution  *     Civic Minded Berners   * Ve ts For Bernie Thanks and deep appreciation to all who took part and helped make the DNC a peaceful gathering, including the training done by Democracy Spring and Food and Water Watch. A special thanks to Rev. Robin Hynicka of Arch St. Methodist Church for setting a beautiful example of cooperation for justice. He opened his doors to many diverse groups  as an Oasis for Activists - including us.
